Description
A highly skilled and creative Filmmaker who will work directly with one of our key financial clients for approximately twelve days per month. The Filmmaker will act as the primary point of contact for social content only, managing the relationship, providing creative direction, and ensuring the content aligns with the client’s brand while meeting ITCH’s creative and production standards.
Outside of this retained remit, the Filmmaker will contribute to wider ITCH client projects. Filmmakers play a significant role in ITCH Media’s visual storytelling initiatives and hold a pivotal position within the media production team. The Filmmaker helps shape the visual identity of our projects and leads, films, and edits productions from pre-production through to post-production. Their multi-talented skill set is crucial in creating engaging and impactful content that resonates with our audience.
They collaborate with Creative & Strategy and Post-Production to plan and execute shoots, ensuring every detail — from lighting design to shot composition — enhances the project’s visual impact. They maintain a high level of craftsmanship, adapt to diverse project requirements, and bring ideas to life while working within agreed timelines and budgets.


Key Skills
- Proven experience as a Filmmaker with a portfolio demonstrating high-quality work.
- Good client management skills.
- Proficiency in operating a wide range of camera equipment and familiarity with multiple filmmaking techniques.
- Strong knowledge and execution of lighting setups across varied scenarios.
- Post-production skills including video editing and sound design.
- Familiarity with colour grading processes.
- Strong creative and artistic sensibilities, with the ability to translate concepts into compelling visuals.
- Excellent communication skills for working effectively within a film crew.
- Ability to adapt to different project requirements and deadlines without compromising quality.
- Familiarity with industry-standard video production software and equipment.

Responsibilities
Main Responsibility
- Act as the main point of contact for our financial client, balancing account management responsibilities with filming and editing duties to deliver their content needs, joining weekly calls and planning content and edits for those 12 days per month.
- Deliver the creative and technical execution of assigned productions from pre-production through to post-production.
- Ensure all outputs meet ITCH’s quality standards and align with the creative vision.
- Maintain and manage camera equipment to ensure readiness and reliability.
Financial client responsibilities
- Liaise daily with the financial client's internal team to plan and manage their ongoing social content needs.
- Lead a weekly cycle of content delivery, typically involving one day filming on location and two days of editing.
- Develop creative concepts and ideas that sit comfortably within the client’s brand while introducing ITCH-level craft and storytelling.
- Act as the primary point of contact, maintaining a strong, trusted relationship and ensuring clear communication, smooth processes, and reliable delivery.
- Support content planning, gathering briefs, advising on creative direction, and ensuring all work is aligned with both client expectations and ITCH standards.
- Proactively identify opportunities for new content formats, improvements, or creative pushes that could benefit the client.
General
- Develop and maintain the visual style and aesthetic for projects, ensuring alignment with ITCH’s creative direction.
- Take part in upfront creative development, contributing to treatments and decks that communicate the project vision.
- Collaborate with Creative & Strategy on project planning and concept development, including PPMs, script analysis, storyboarding, shot lists, location scouting, and equipment selection.
- Lead and coordinate the film crew on set, ensuring visual quality, lighting, and framing meet project requirements.
- Direct smaller-scale shoots where a separate Director is not required.
- Operate a range of camera equipment, including mirrorless and cinema cameras, with responsibility for settings, composition, and focus.
- Design and set up lighting schemes to create the desired mood and atmosphere.
- Conduct quality checks on all assigned projects to ensure delivery meets ITCH’s high standards.
- Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and creative techniques.
- Be able to create social-first and long-form content.
Production
- Work individually on projects as well as collaborating with Directors, Producers, and other creative team members to bring the project vision to life when needed.
- Maintain and manage all camera equipment, recommending upgrades or replacements when required.
Post-Production
- Edit content for social and mixed media formats. Including online and offline abilities.
- Collaborate with Post-Production to ensure footage is edited, colour-graded, and sound-designed to meet the intended style.
